About

A web developer who cares how sites run after launch.

I’m Alvi Hassan, based in Bangladesh. I work on WordPress websites, their search visibility, and the routine work that keeps them healthy — increasingly with the help of automation.

At my workspace in Bangladesh.

I started with HTML and CSS — writing pages by hand and learning how structure and styling fit together. That foundation still shapes how I work: I like to understand what a page is actually made of before changing it.

From there I moved into WordPress, building and managing sites meant for real use. The work naturally widened into SEO, because a site that can’t be found doesn’t do its job, and into the everyday operations behind a website: updates, backups, security housekeeping and speed.

More recently I’ve been using AI tools and scripts to automate the repetitive parts of that work, so time goes into decisions rather than copy-and-paste. I’m currently expanding my skills in Next.js, Node.js and running AI models locally.

Behind the work

A few moments that reflect how I work — from setting up machines to planning what a website needs next.

Point of view

What I believe about websites

A good website isn’t finished at launch. It needs to be looked after — clearly, carefully and without drama.

Capabilities

What I work on, grouped by area.

These are the areas I work in day to day. Case studies with real details will be added to the projects page as they are written up.

Build

  • Hand-written HTML and CSS pages
  • WordPress setup, theme configuration and page builds
  • Responsive layouts that work on phones first
  • Lightweight static sites, like this one

Search

  • Technical SEO audits: crawling, indexing, sitemaps
  • On-page work: titles, descriptions, headings, internal links
  • Structured data (schema.org) markup
  • White-hat practices that follow search engine guidelines

Operations

  • Core, theme and plugin updates
  • Backups and restore checks
  • Security housekeeping for WordPress sites
  • Performance improvements: images, caching, bloat

Automation

  • AI-assisted content and research workflows
  • Automated checks and simple reporting
  • Scripts for routine website tasks
  • Review steps so people stay in control of output

Approach

How I approach projects.

  1. Plain languageYou should understand what is being changed and why, without needing to learn the jargon.
  2. Most important things firstWork is prioritised by impact, not by how long a checklist looks.
  3. Careful with what existsBackups before changes, testing before going live, and nothing removed without a reason.
  4. Honest about limitsNo guaranteed rankings or invented numbers. If something is outside what I do well, I’ll say so.
  5. Leave it tidyClear notes, handed-back access, and a site that is easier to manage than when I found it.

Working on something that fits?

If your website needs building, fixing, finding or looking after, I’d be glad to hear about it.
